Q: What is an Announcement?

A: It is an administrative court setting.

Q: Do I need to go to this setting? Will it look good for me to go? Will it show the judge that I’m taking this seriously?

A: No. You only have to go to this setting if you have not retained an attorney.

Q: Then why do they have this setting?

A: It is just another setting that gives the court more time to get the documents ready to proceed on your case.

Q: Will you find out anything at the Announcement?

A: Sometimes. Usually we just find out the next court date.
